Course Description:

This course will explore the chapters of the Holy Quran that are frequently recited in prayer, with a particular focus on juzʿ ʿammah and the last ten chapters of the Qurʾān. The prayer is central to our religious experience, serving as a direct line of communication with Allāh. Through prayer, believers address their needs, resolve their problems, and strengthen their connection with their Creator.

To elevate one’s prayer from a routine act to a spiritually enriching experience, it is crucial to deepen one’s understanding of the Quran. In this class, students will examine each selected sūrah word by word, delving into the linguistic nuances and the deeper meanings as elucidated by scholars of tafsīr. This approach will not only illuminate the linguistic aspects but also produce an appreciation for the literary beauty of the Quran.
