The Course

Purification is the essential foundation of valid prayers Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ said, “There is no prayer except from one who is pure.” In order to properly fulfill the obligation of ṣalāh, one must first understand how to purify oneself. Thus, the classical books of Islamic jurisprudence begin with the chapter on ṭahārah (purification), which precedes all other acts of worship. Likewise, since ṣalāh is the first matter for which one is held accountable on the Day of Reckoning, its importance cannot be overstated. Prayers are only accepted if performed in a legally valid manner, making it incumbent upon every Muslim to learn how to pray correctly. This course offers an in-depth study of both ṭahārah and ṣalāh, equipping students with the knowledge to ensure their acts of worship are sound and acceptable in the sight of Allah.
